Don Molter. With over 35 years of experience in education and counseling, Don is passionate about helping students identify their strengths, explore career pathways, and build purposeful lives. Don holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a Master of Science in Education (Counseling and Personnel Services) from Purdue University, where he also spent a decade serving as a counselor in the Office of the Dean of Students.
During his 10 years at Purdue, he worked closely with undergraduate students to support academic success, personal development, and career exploration. Don provided one-on-one counseling, taught General Studies courses, and advised several student organizations, including Purdue Student Government and freshman honor societies. Don’s time at Purdue helped shape his holistic approach to student development-one rooted in empathy, structure, and personal accountability.
Beyond the university setting, he continued his career as a K-12 school counselor and later as a Career Counselor at the Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center, where he worked extensively with young people managing chronic health conditions. Don’s focus included career and personality assessments, education advocacy, and support with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Section 504 Plans.
Throughout his career he has led retreats, camps, and men’s support groups-all designed to help students feel seen, supported, and prepared to take their next steps with confidence. Whether you’re just beginning your college journey or planning life after graduation, his goal is to help you discover a path that fits who you are and where you want to go.
